Hot and Spicy!

Those of you who live in Malaysia and Singapore, please don't take KFC Hot and Spicy chicken for granted. I did, and paid the price of enforced abstinence for almost ten months. For some reason, the Aussie KFCs only see fit to bring it in in winter, despite my shameless grovelling. Anyway, it's finally here! So Friday night saw Babes and I casting aside all thoughts of healthy eating. IT WAS DA BOMB...

Tandoori nights

"the food of india" was our wedding anniversary present from Nick and Ngoc (thanks, guys!). so of course Babes had to try a recipe from it. which explains that amazing Tandoori Chicken you see right there. Looks like I didn't need to marry an Indian girl after all...

And speaking of weddings...

Bubs and Babes celebrated our second anniversary last week, with a three-hour lunch at Pettavel Winery and Restaurant. It's just a couple of kilometres out of Geelong, and the food is pretty amazing. Best doggone quail I've ever had, for starters. Indeed all five courses were excellent. And better yet, it's in the Entertainment Guide! Which means 25% off... hey, we're Asians after all. Highly recommended. Oh and congrats to us... love ya, babes!

Rob and Ruth's Wedding

Rob is Angeline's cousin, and he's just married Ruth. She's a lovely Foochow girl, and you'll be hard-pressed to find a nicer couple anywhere. The Rob and Ruth Roadshow started last weekend, with a Saturday wedding ceremony and dinner in Melbourne, and a Sunday dinner in Sydney. Then to Sibu (East Malaysia) and Taiping (West Malaysia) this weekend. May they be blessed with happiness and offspring galore!

Where we spend most of our time...

We've been here for more than three months now, and are quite enjoying it! Hitachi 32" LCD TV, Sony 5.1 Home Theatre System, Optus Cable TV and Broadband, got it all eventually. Customer service has been somewhat questionable, to say the least, but that's another story...

It ain't South Yarra, but it's home!

We've been asked by some for photos of our new digs, but due to any number of circumstances (laziness, for one) have not yet obliged. Until today, that is.
